Project #1. Week #1. Role Model

In this first project it sought to accurately treat the issue of role model . From watching two videos that exemplify these situations, two questions of personal judgment ran for achieving answer according to the message conveyed by the videos above.

WEEK #1

• What is the main idea of the Video?

The main idea in the video 1 is that the children describe who is your role model and explain why they admire their parents.

The main idea in the video 2 is that the children learn the possitive and negative attitudes of their parents.

• Do you think it is true? Why?

Yes the main idea of the videos are true, because the children watch all behaviors of their parents and they imitate the attitudes.

• Describe what activities the kids do in these videos. Be very specific.

a) Bad behaviors of their parents for example the physical assaults on their mothers.

b) Also they are seen as children imitate bad words and copy the actions of their parents.

• Do you think children learn by seeing? If so, who do think children learn from?

Sure, because all people (children, youngers and old persons) watch their personal environment and They adapt to the circumstances observed.

• What is a role model?

In my opinion it’s a person that represents a great example in all the aspects the day to day.

• Who is your role model? Why? Give an example.

My mother, because she is a extraordinary woman. She is a hard working person, She loves me and strives to be better every day. Of course my mom cooks delicious food.

My mom is a role model because always that I been sick , regardless of time , place or as she sits is dedicated to care me.

WEEK #2

• Think of your current behavior and habits and identify some attitudes that somebody resembles your father or mother's. What is it? What do you do that is similar to your father or mother's actions?

A some attitudes that somebody resembles your father or mother's refers when people (son-daughter) copy a behavior and habits observed of their family and acts in the same way

In general my attitudes are similar with the behavior of my father. He is very patient, responsible and hardworking.

About my mom I consider myself a perfectionist person such as she and I work to achieve the goals in the life.

• Tell your partner an anecdote in which your behavior reflected your dad or mom's personality. Be very specific and give a lot of details.

When we are taking different decisions my behavior reflect my dad's personality, because we are very patient in waiting the correct time. We are very calculating; we observe situations and therefore analyze the possibilities to make the best decision.

About my mom, I think that the principal anecdote is when I study, because I copy all the behavior of she, in special the perfectionist in the works.

• Describe your father or mother. What does he look like? What is he/she like? What does he/ she do very day? Is there anybody in your family that looks like them? Who? What do they have in common? Share all that information with your partner.

My father is a tall man; he is thin, as a person is very human, loving, tolerant and compressive. In my family, the most similar person to my dad, I am.

Realize a survey of questions relating to the subject of the project and interview a classmate.

The person interviewed in class was Rebeca Rodriguez.

• Which of your parents think you share more behaviors?

She shares her father's behavior.

• What is the habit that more you share with your mom ?

That habit More Share your mom is talking to people.

• What is the habit that more you share with your dad?

That habit more sharing his father’s being a bit disorganized

• Which are your family customs?

Most family custom is to share time with family during the weekend

• What attitude dislike about your dad?

The attitude dislike about your dad is that sometimes he doesn’t listen to others.

• What attitude dislike about your mom?

The attitude that dislike about your Mom is usually a very stressed woman

• Describe one value that is very important in your family environment.

The respect, because she consider all the people is important.

• What do you think about that the children learn your good and bad behaviors from your parents? Is it correct that statement? Why?

Yes, because those children are reflect of your parents.

In conclusion humans imitate the behavior of those who consider models to gain assurance in their lives. We must act carefully when dealing with children , as they will always claim to act like their relatives and superiors.

WEEK #4

During week 4 took place the last part of the first project of the period, for which the teacher assigned to conduct an investigation during lessons, for exposure during the next class. The selected theme was Influence of Media, principally the impact that the behavior of children. Here he attached the subtopic that I had to develop corresponding to the exposition:

Topic: The influence that media (internet, television, music, etc.) has on children´s behavior.

The Television:

Television, as a means of social communication, is considered one of the main ways that influence the development of the human personality.

Children are a population that is exposed to the influence by television; Studies show that children watch TV about 30 hours a week.

Negatively television often shows high levels of violence, sexual content and bad language. Children repeat everything they see and hear; so parents must take care of the content of television programs their children watch every day.

It is important for parents to spend time with their children and explain that not everything that is played on television should be emulated.

Question: Is it important to be aware of what children watch on television? Why?

In conclusion, this first project was extremely interesting, since it allowed learn more about the topic: "Role Model". It was important that, during each week, activities in which skills in grammar, listening, composition and exposure were used were developed. Very interesting indeed the first project, and generates expectations about future projects.
