Gerund used as a subject

In this activity, it was necessary to put into use gerunds as subjects. The activity was interesting because it was necessary to justify the sentences explained.

• Cooking is one of her hobbies because her father is one of the best chefs around of the world.

• Cycling is fun because you see many landscapes and meet new places.

• Getting a good job is not easy, because in this country the economy is in crisi.

• Finding a parking space is quite dfficult in this area, because in ULACIT there are many cars.

• Driving becomes more and more expensive, because gasolina and cars parts are very expensive in this country.

• No Smoking in this area, because is a restaurant for children and smoke is bad for them.

• Working overtime is quite common in this company, because the company environment is wonderful.

• Eating fruits and vegetables is good for your health, because this food have many minerals that are important for the body.

• Make fun of other people is not nic, because I deserve respect and it’s unconfortable being disrespect.

• Learning about other cultures makes people more tolerant, because all persons know new traditions of others.
