Practice of Simple Past

In this activity the teacher gave a list of 10 verbs (regular and irregular) with which we should write one positive sentence and one negative in the simple past.
1) Write
+ I wrote a short history.
- I didn´t write a short history.
2) Make
+ He made a pizza the last night.
- He didn´t make a pizza the last night.
3) Do
+ I did exercises yesterday.
- I didn´t do exercises yesterday.
4) Play
+ She played tennis the last week.
- She didn´t play tennis the last week.
5) Cry
+ My mom was sad, so she cried yesterday.
- I didn´t cry in my grandmother funeral.
6) Enjoy
+ She enjoyed the TV Show of the Sunday.
- She didn´t enjoy the soccer match.
7) Watch
+ I watched the final of Wimbledon in the All England Club of Tennis.
- I didn´t watch the thriller movie.
8) Speak
+ She spoke with your father yesterday.
- He didn´t speak with your mother in the morning.
9) Understand
+ I understood the rules of the baseball match.
- I didn´t understand the rules of the baseball match.
10) Have
+ I had a tennis ball in my house.
- I didn´t have time for the activity of the Saturday.
This activity was very important because it allowed us to make a review of regular and irregular verbs, besides practicing the right way of structuring positive and negative sentences simple in simple past.
